Hello, I'm Ramiro.

My passion for photography ignited during a black and white film photography class. The entire process fascinated me - from capturing the perfect shot to developing the film in a darkroom, and then watching my work of art come to life in the light. This rewarding experience led me to transition from graphic design to pursue a career in photography.

I had the privilege of interning at Michael Carr Photography, renowned for capturing the most prestigious weddings in Houston. After graduating, I joined Terry Halsey Photography, where I had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients such as Lowe's, Sonics, Wings and Things, AT&T, and the City of Pearland, among others. During this time, I photographed various occasions, including weddings, quinceañeras, business headshots, and portraits. Following a brief hiatus, I moved to New York City to rediscover my love and passion for photography. There, I collaborated with notable photographers Brett Deutsch and Jacq Photograpie, capturing special events and weddings.

Inspired by the city's vibrant neighborhoods, I embarked on a personal project to document every corner of Manhattan, from Battery Park to Inwood, with the aim of creating my first photography book. The project is nearly complete!

After two enriching years in New York, I returned to Houston and rejoined forces with the legendary Terry Halsey. Currently, I am actively involved with the marketing team at The Hack Houston while dedicating my efforts to Ramiro Benitez Photography. My ultimate goal is to create an environment where clients feel at ease while capturing beautifully natural and timeless memories. I am excited about the possibility of working with you!

So, may I have the pleasure of capturing your picture?
